The CEREC Crown Procedure
Dental Crowns are a great tool for repairing cracked and broken teeth. Traditionally, it might take 2 to 3 appointments to have a crown constructed. With CAD/CAM technology we can now combine all that into one easy appointment! We will numb your tooth then prepare for the crown. Now the fun begins. We wave a camera wand over the tooth to capture the 3-D image of the tooth. Then you simply go take a break for about 30 minutes while we make the crown. While you are still numb we do the final fitting and cement the new permanent crown to place. You are typically in and out of the office in 1 1/2 – 2 hours.
