Dental Missions
I did my first dental mission trip in 2001 and went to The Dominican Republic. I've been hooked ever since and have been to the "DR" (as we call it) 7 times and Nicaragua 3 times. My most recent mission trip was to Nicaragua in January 2011.
My mission work in Nicaragua is with The Greater Louisville Medical Society and Hand in Hand Ministries. This article was in the Greater Louisville Medical Society Journal. CLICK HERE!
This is a makeshift dental clinic in a space in a church in La Romana, Dominacan Republic. I have some portable equipment I store there. Note our high tech dental chair is a plastic lawn chair.

This is in a small village dental clinic about an hour from Managua, Nicaragua. It's run by missionaries and is basically free to the villagers. However, they have to earn points for treatment by doing work around the village.
I'm with the local dentist that comes into the clinic twice a week.

This is a typical rural home in Nicaragua.
